What I collect, and what I do with it.
This covers joindesignandship.com, the waitlist, and Cohort 1 of Design & Ship with AI. I am Samuel Irinyemi, in Lagos, Nigeria, and I am the person responsible for your information. Last updated 11 September 2026.
01What I collect
- When you join the waitlist: your first name and email address, and your WhatsApp number and what you do, if you give them.
- When you pay: Paystack collects your name, email address and phone number, and your answers to the questions on the payment page. I can see those. Your card or bank details go to Paystack only. I never see them.
- In the WhatsApp community: your name and number are visible to me and to the other members, the same as in any WhatsApp community.
- In the live sessions: the sessions run on Google Meet and are recorded. If you turn on your camera, speak, or write in the chat, that will be in the recording. If you would rather stay out of it, keep your camera off and send me your questions privately.
02What I do with it
- On the waitlist, I use your details to tell you when a cohort opens, and nothing else.
- In the cohort, I use them to send you the session dates, add you to the community, and review your work.
- When you write to me, I use them to answer you.
I do not sell your information, give it to advertisers, or add you to anyone else’s list.
03Who else handles it
The course runs on a few services, and each one handles part of your information under its own privacy policy:
- Brevo keeps the waitlist and sends the emails.
- Paystack takes the payments.
- Vercel hosts this site. Like every web host, it keeps short technical records of visits, such as your IP address.
- Google Fonts supplies the fonts, so your browser asks Google for them.
- Google Meet runs the live sessions, and WhatsApp runs the community.
04Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. If that ever changes, this page will say so first.
05How long I keep it
- Waitlist: until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it.
- Students: for as long as the alumni community runs. Payment records are kept for as long as Nigerian law requires me to keep financial records.
- Recordings: kept for good, because the course promises them to you permanently.
06Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, you can ask to see what I hold about you, ask me to correct it or delete it, and change your mind about anything you agreed to. Every email I send has an unsubscribe link.
For anything else, email hello@joindesignandship.com. I will answer within 30 days, and usually much sooner. If you are not happy with my answer, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
